Sunday evening I went strait home after church. Early enough to enjoy being home before bed time - yes!!!
There was a knock on the door. I was already changed for the night. Who might that be? "I'll be right there", I said.
When I opened the door - there stood Samuel with a bouquet of red tulips in his hand. "It's for you", he said. He gave me the best hug and his face was beaming. He kissed me with such love and tenderness... I was overwhelmed!!!
"These are beautiful, thank you. Want to visit for a while?". "No, we're having a fire tonight". I was hoping he would ask me to come over as he usually does, but he didn't. That's alright - I got my heart pumped with red tulips!
There is just something about a little boy's love - a special little boy. I'm thankful that he has allowed me in his heart and that he showers me with his love. Jesus has a special kind of love for special people. And He lets me help Him.

What beautiful flowers! And, what a precious little boy. This made my heart glad. :)
Isn't so special? His father said that they were at the market getting water and Samuel spotted the tulips and declared that he wanted to get them for me.
Children's actions are a lesson that we all need to learn from. What a sweet child that would think of an adult above himself. What an honor to you Catherine. You certainly have made an impression upon him, and it sounds like a positive one.
It's always nice to be surprised with flowers. That was very sweet of Samuel to want to give you flowers.
Blessings,

Karen,
Yes, we can learn from children just as they learn from us. Right now we are talking to Samuel about dealing with rejection - it's a tough one.
Carol,
Any day is the right time to receive flowers. Today Samuel asked me if I knew why I gave me flowers - "Because he loves me". And red because he likes red.
Merci et que Dieu vous bénisse ma Soeur.
Sis. Catherine,
How thoughtful and sweet of your little guy to surprise you! It's obvious you taught your own children to be thoughtful and kind to others. What a blessing!
I also wanted to thank you for your many kind comments on my blog. I am just now starting to come alive again and am slowly getting to catching up on everyone's blogs, etc.
Have a wonderful day!
Hello there Sis. Monica!
How nice of you to take the time to drop by. I know how busy you are. I am so happy for you and you will keep getting better and better every day. The picture of your new little one are precious.
The best teaching is by example, even if at times we just don't feel like it. But it's worth it!
God bless you and your family.
